Giving My Firstfruits to God God is the creator of all! He is the one who gives me the ability to create this site and to write mystery dinner scripts! So, with each new script that I write, the first payment I receive is given to my church. However, I felt led to proceed differently with this new script - The Conundrum on the Crackerjack Cruise. 100% of donations for at least the first three years will be given directly to The Church in Galloway building fund. So, when any organization requests this script, they will write the check for $100 or more to The Church in Galloway.
More about The Church in Galloway: After one year of prayer, interviews, Bible study, and seeking godly counsel, my family moved from Virginia to Galloway, OH in 1996 to start a brand new church. One of the main parts of my personal decision to come was the fact that I knew God called me to be a missionary when I was in the fifth grade! And this area is certainly a mission field. Now, our church has been meeting in a high school for 9 years. God has been awesome! Yet this is an extremely hard community to reach for Jesus! And pulling a trailer, taking down tables, setting up chairs, putting up curtains and sound equipment, rearranging classrooms to become a nursery, preschool room, and children's room is becoming extremely difficult. Moreover, there are many people in our community who will never come to a high school for a church service. Our small congregation that is just over 100 people, has had many exciting "Yeah God" moments such as leading people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, winning awards in the Fourth of July parades, sponsoring missionaries in other countries, reaching out to our community by picking up trash after football games, starting a youth praise team, ministering to a church in Mississippi, purchasing land with cash, and on and on . . . We have researched and discovered that the cost of building a small facility and driveway to lead up to the facility should cost over $1 million! However, with volunteer labor, our goal is to decrease this expense to approximately $700,000 - still a large amount. I have no idea how God is going to enable this miracle to happen, but I know He can! So, I am being obedient with my small contribution to what I believe to be God's will!
