Rick Shoemaker

As the pastor of the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle, Ohio since 1979, Rick began writing mystery theater dramas after he and Elizabeth attended such a performance in Orlando, Florida in the late 1990s. They decided that this format could be a creative tool to use as for reaching out to the community, or even a fundraiser, in the church. Since that time, four scripts have been written and successfully performed at First Baptist.

Rick and his wife of 30+ years, Elizabeth, have two daughters. Jennifer is married to Brian Clifford. Both teach in Campbellsville, KY.  They have two children, Nathaniel and Carli.  Rick's younger daughter, Sarah, teaches school in Calvary, KY.
