DINNER THEATER DRAMA SCHEDULE
|
Typical Schedule for Presenting the Dinner Theaters #1-3
|
With a mystery dinner theater, the time of the
actual drama is intentionally kept to about 45 minutes, not
counting the conclusion scene. A suggested time frame is:
|
5:30 - 6:00
|
Welcome
guests and allow characters to mingle with the crowd.
|
|
6:00 - 7:15 |
Serve
the meal. |
|
7:15 - 8:00 |
Perform
the mystery. |
|
8:00 - 8:05 |
Brainstorm questions to ask the suspects. (Audience) |
|
8:05 - 8:25 |
Interrogate the suspects. (Audience) |
|
8:25 - 8:35 |
Present
the final scene and solve the mystery. |
|
8:35 - 8:45 |
Share
the "Greatest Mystery in History" |
|
8:45 - 9:00 |
Draw
for door prize/Present the award to the Sleuth of the Night |
|
Many church members are
involved in the production of the event. In addition to the cast, people
may be involved as stage crew, costume makers, prop designers, cooks, etc.
An average program and full course meal take about 3½ hours. A dessert
theater can be done in 2 - 2½ hours.
*Bonus
-- The Greatest Mystery in History handout comes with every script so the
gospel can easily be shared with the crowd.
