ABOUT THE MARKETPLACE
ON STUFF 4 CHURCH

History . . . My husband and I, along with our 2 sons, moved to Galloway, Ohio in 1996.  We were commissioned as “Home Missionaries” by the Southern Baptists to start a new church in this area.

The day that we told our home church in Galax, Virginia of our plans to go and start a new church, I was teaching Children’s Church.  We had been studying from the Old Testament and as God providentially planned, the lesson that day was from the book of Ezra:

Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.  And all those about them encouraged them with articles of silver, with gold, with goods, with cattle, and with valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.  Ezra 1:5,6 (NAS)

Because my husband and I had served in churches in Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia, we had many friends who reached out to us just as the people did in the above verses!   More than 10 churches donated financial assistance to help us reach the people just outside Columbus, Ohio!  A friend from Tennessee donated much needed sound equipment, a local company donated a copier, and so many others gave us items that were essential to starting a church.

Unfortunately, because we had no building of our own, many of the items that were offered to us could not be used.  I thought how there were probably other churches that would love to have such items, but there was no way to know who or where such churches were.  I hoped to one day resolve this problem.

Through the years, God has continually reminded me of how blessed we have been through the gifts of others!  He led me to a job where I learned about creating web sites.  Thus, when I was able to fulfill my dream of selling Children’s Church Curriculum via the internet, I realized that I could give back to God by helping other churches just as we had been helped.  I created this page called “Marketplace” because in Biblical times, I could picture people going to a central marketplace.

My goal is to assist churches (and other organizations) in helping other Christians reach this world for God!

Closing thoughts . . . The Marketplace page of the web site is my gift to God and fellow Christians.  I do not charge any fees though it takes quite a bit of time, effort, and cost for web services to keep this page updated.  However, the occasional email of thanks brings tremendous joy to my heart.

Thank you for taking time to read about the Marketplace on Stuff 4 Church.  I hope that you will feel free to write, email (nancy@stuff4church.org), or call me (614.266.2638) with any questions or comments.

Working Together for His Glory,
Nancy Bond

HOW THIS PROCESS WORKS

Cost . . . Churches/Companies can list any item for free as long as they are giving the items away for free.  (Many churches may need to require shipping fees.)

Items to be given . . . If you have an item you would like to give away, email :
-- A brief description of the item
-- The church name
-- Church location - City and State
-- Email address typed out in full
-- Name of person to contact (Can be just first name)
-- Optional - Phone number.

The description will be posted online where churches can contact you directly.  You may receive several requests and may need to discern how to best answer those requests!

When you have selected an organization to give the item to, email me and I will remove the listing from the site so that you will not receive more requests.

Wanted items . . . Many churches have contacted me looking for specific items.  So, I began listing their requests on the same page.  However, though several churches have received responses to these requests, most churches come looking for items.  So, I always suggest that these churches continue to seek additional methods of finding the items they are seeking.

Sadly, I rarely hear back from churches whether they had their requests answered or not.  Thus, after three months, I remove the requests.

Requests will not be listed that do not provide the information in an email as explained below.  Type in 1 paragraph without using the "enter" key!  Type out your email address in full in that same paragraph.  (Look at other listings to get the idea.)

If you have an item that you would like to be donated, email .  Type the following information in a 10 point font all in the same paragraph:
-- Your church name
-- Church location - City and State
-- A brief description of the item
-- Email address typed out in full (I will no longer be "looking up" your email.)
-- Name of person to contact (Can be just first name)
-- Optional - Phone number.

DO NOT
-- Request long lists of items.
-- Type in all capital letters!
-- Request monetary donations.
-- Send requests that are more than 4 sentences in length.

Requests will not be listed that do not provide the information in an email as listed above!
