FLAT ROCK BAPTIST CHURCH IN LIBERTY, SC

The Conundrum on the Crackerjack Cruise Mystery Dinner

Servers for the Mystery Dinner Theatre

Cast for The Conundrum on the Crackerjack Cruise

Mystery Dinner Theater fundraiser at our church!

The backdrop is heavy black material with Christmas lights duct taped to the back and stuck through tiny little holes.  One person drew out the ship based on the length of our stage and using the ship pictures from Stuff 4 Church.  He had the drawings plotted and used them for a template to cut out the ship from scrap wood.  One of our Acteens laid out how to do the set and she cut the windows out of the black foam paper and the letters out of cardboard.

TUPELO CHRISTIAN PREPARATORY SCHOOL IN BELDEN, MS

The singing trio from Class of Valley High!

Solving the Crime!

We set up the auditorium to look like a real class reunion with different decades all over the walls and different tables.  People made reservations before the play and were met at the door by Boffo's Beautiful Assistant (we called her Beautiful Gorgeous) and led to their tables by different extras in the cast such as Bob, the Janitor and Collin, the Newspaper Reporter.  The kids dressed their parts and played them well.

STOW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN STOW, OH

Cast from Signing Off at WWPP Radio

Table set up for murder mystery dinner theatre.

Products for our muder mystery dinner theater.

We went with a late 1940's theme.  Someone had an old radio which we gutted and put an amp in.  We played 40's music from a CD player.  We also used real mics but covered them with an older looking style mic photo.  That blended in well behind a dark back drop curtain.  We rented some costumes and had some made.  We really played up the products, even created some new ones.  We printed wrappers and taped them on small hotel soaps to give out.
